Intramurals:  Today will be grade 8 day during second half of lunch in the Gym.

Writer's Club:  If you are interested in joining a Writing Group here at Gaetz Brook, please speak with Ms. MacVicar.

Girl's Conference:  People who signed up for Girl's Conference are asked to please meet in Mrs. Cooper's room (304) Thursday during lunch.

Art Club:  There will be an important meeting for the grade 7 Art Club during lunch on Thursday.

Badminton:  There will be Badminton Tryouts today and tomorrow after school until 4:30pm.  Please have drives ready for this time!

Boys' Basketball:  The last game will be Friday here at GBJH.  All students are welcome to stay and cheer the team on!

ESDH dance and band students will be having a spaghetti supper fundraiser for their upcoming trip to Disney on Saturday , Feb 6  from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Porters Lake Community Centre, 4693 Hwy #7-$10 adults , $6 ages 10 and under. Homemade roll and dessert and beverage included . Take out available.


CONNECT THE DOTS is a social support group for LGBTQ youth and their allies, ages 18 and under. It gives youth an opportunity to chat with their peers, make connections in a safe and supportive space, and take part in some fun activities. This is a drop-in program held the 1st Wednesday of each month @ 6:30pm, Musquodoboit Harbour Library. Starts February 3rd."

It will assist your children to identify occupations which might help them pursue their passions. Parents as Career Coaches also encourages parents and their children to consider the many practical factors that will impact career decisions, including, for example, skills, the labour market, and education and training opportunities.

  • a parent guide designed to help you work with your children throughout their career journey.
  • a student workbook, which provides your daughter or son with information and activities to:
    • Identify interests and skills
    • Research occupations
