Boys' Soccer game against Ross Rd. has been CANCELLED for today!!

Girls' Soccer game is still on at 5:00!

Terry Fox Run/Walk has been rescheduled for this Friday, Oct. 9th

There will be an Immunization Clinic for all Grade 7 students on October 7th.  Students are asked to have a good breakfast and wear short sleeves.

GSA:  If anyone is interested in starting up a Gay Straight Alliance please meet in room 310 today at the beginning of lunch. 

Intramurals:  Today's intramural soccer games are as follows:  Bulls vs. 49ers AND Jays vs. Habs

Voting Station:  All students that were chosen to run the voting station are asked to meet with Mr. Deveaux at the start of lunch today.

Grade 9 Trip to Cole Harbour Place:  Wednesday is the last day to get your money and permission slips in for Cole Harbour Place.

Ice Hockey:  Ice Hockey tryout forms are available in Mr. Deveaux's room and must be passed back in by Wednesday.  You must have permission and a $20 tryout fee paid for before tryouts.  You can sign up during recess or lunch today.

Ball Hockey:  The Ball Hockey Teams will be playing Thursday this week.  Please make sure you have drives arranged.

Yearbook:  There will be a Yearbook Editors meeting on Friday afterschool until 4:30pm - please have your drives ready for this time.

Turning Tides Community Outreach has programs suitable for children, parents and professionals seeking to support youth with a variety of learning, organizational, social and behavioural needs.  Their link is  http://www.turningtides.ca, and presently they are offering a Social Skills Group for youth, feel free to check it out.




Are you affected by a loved one’s substance use or gambling? Join us for a 6-week, closed education program for family members, partners and close friends of those harmfully involved with drugs, alcohol and/or gambling. Topics include:

• Promoting positive communication and self care

• Enabling behavior and boundaries

• Developing strategies to engage loved ones

• Exploring the leisure health connection

• Pharmacology 101 – Q&A

This group supports people in their efforts to stop smoking. Participants will receive FREE access to the patch, gum, and lozenge while attending group. Group members will also receive information and supportive counseling to assist them in their efforts to quit smoking.
